Illustration #9 - Flight in a Cephalopodic Maelstrom

This started out as a sketch…and I got a little carried away. I really wanted to test my brush work with this one as I noticed the line width in most of my inking was most often a little too thick. I think if I remain focused enough, I can produce some thin and solid lines.

Made with Windsor and Newton Cotman Watercolors and Dr. Ph. Martin’s Bombay India Ink on Pentalic Nature Sketch sketchbook paper. I love the versatility in those sketchbooks.

*UPDATE: I replaced the original image with a higher quality version. The colors look much smoother now.
